First-Touch Investigation Help

Sometimes you just need a name.

Flat-fee first look at small cases. We tell you what we can find, what we can't, and whether your case needs Rexxfield for deeper work.

One-time flat fee No retainer Detailed report regardless of outcome

How it works

Four steps, no long onboarding.

1

Submit your case

Fill out the form below. Pick the tier that sounds closest and tell us what you've already got.

2

We confirm scope

Within a business day we'll confirm we can help, suggest a different tier, or point you somewhere else. No charge yet.

3

You pay the flat fee

If you used the Pay buttons above, work starts as soon as you've sent your case details. If you used the form first, we send a payment link once we've confirmed we can help.

4

You get the report

Written report within the tier's turnaround. We walk through it with you so it actually makes sense.

Pricing

Flat, one-time fees. No subscriptions or hourly billing. What you see is what you pay.

Tier 1

First Look

Best for: not sure if your case is small or big

$99one-time

3–4 day turnaround

  • We review everything you've got — screenshots, messages, links
  • We do a quick initial check on the scammer
  • You get a plain-language report on what we find
  • We tell you whether to keep going, send it to Rexxfield, or save your money
Tier 2

Find Out Who

Best for: "Who is this email, phone, or username?"

$149one-time

48–72 hour turnaround

  • You give us one thing: an email, phone number, or username
  • We dig into who's behind it across major platforms
  • We check if their info shows up in known data leaks
  • We find other social accounts tied to it
  • You get a short, readable report — 1 to 2 pages
Don't see your situation? Some small cases sit between tiers — narrow background dig, multi-platform attribution, document authentication. Email Gus@gcci.io for a flat-fee quote before you submit.

Important to know before you submit

Worth reading. Better you decide not to engage than feel surprised later.

The fee is non-refundable once work begins

Flat-fee engagements protect your wallet from runaway hours, but they shift the outcome risk to you. Once we accept the case and you pay, the work is committed.

We can't guarantee identification

Sometimes the data simply isn't there to be found — the subject is careful, the platform is locked down, or the breach corpus is silent. We never promise an answer.

You always get the detailed report

Whether we identify the subject or not, you receive written findings: what we checked, what we found, what's still uncertain, and what you can do next.

We walk through the report with you

Reports without context can be confusing. Your engagement includes a follow-up call or written walkthrough so the findings actually mean something to you.

Your case stays private

We don't list clients, share findings, or discuss your case outside our engagement. The only exception is a lawful subpoena, which we'd notify you of immediately.

This is not a court-grade investigation

Findings here are for your private use — to make decisions, protect yourself, or hand off to police on your own. For attribution that holds up legally, we route you to Rexxfield.

Personal use only — not a regulated background check

Our reports are not "consumer reports" under the FCRA. Do not use them for employment, tenant screening, credit, insurance, or any decision regulated by FCRA. For those purposes, use a licensed Consumer Reporting Agency.

We work within legal boundaries

We use only OSINT (open-source intelligence) and the evidence you provide. We don't pretext, social-engineer, impersonate, hack, or access password-protected accounts. If a case requires methods outside that line, we route it to Rexxfield.

What we do — and what we don't

Knowing the line up front saves everyone time.

In scope for small-case help

  • Catfisher identification
  • Fake review or harassing-account attribution
  • Basic email, phone, username, or IP lookups
  • Personal-use OSINT reports
  • Cross-platform account linking
  • Case triage and pre-engagement scoping

Out of scope (we route you elsewhere)

  • Court-admissible attribution & expert testimony
  • Active financial fraud or crypto-fund recovery
  • Law-enforcement coordination
  • Employment, tenant, credit, or insurance screening (FCRA)
  • Ongoing surveillance or monitoring
  • Anything involving a minor (NCMEC + LE)
  • Active physical-safety threats (call 911)
  • Pretexting, hacking, or non-OSINT methods

For court-grade or high-stakes cases we work alongside Rexxfield Technologies. If your situation is bigger than what's listed here, we'll tell you and route you over.

Submit a case

Tell us what's going on. We'll get back to you within a business day and confirm whether we can take it. No payment until we agree.

A few sentences is enough. Don't share sensitive details (full SSNs, banking info) here.
Usernames, profile links, emails, phone numbers, screenshots, transaction IDs, etc.

Common questions

Why isn't the fee refundable?

Flat-fee small-case engagements only work because the price is committed. The alternative is hourly billing with a retainer, which means more paperwork, more cost, and more risk for you. We'd rather you decide carefully up front than feel locked in mid-engagement. If we don't think we can help, we'll tell you before you pay — that's the entire point of the intake step.

What if you can't identify the person?

You still receive the detailed report. It will document every source we checked, every dead end, every partial match, and what's still uncertain. Many clients use these reports to inform their next decision — escalating to Rexxfield, filing a more detailed police report, or simply having clarity that the trail has gone cold for now.

How is this different from Rexxfield?

Rexxfield handles court-grade attribution, complex financial-fraud recovery, expert testimony, and law-enforcement coordination — work that requires a different evidentiary standard and different tooling. GCCI's small-case tier is for personal-use answers: catfish ID, harassing account attribution, simple lookups. If your case is bigger than what's described on this page, we'll route you to Rexxfield rather than try to force-fit it.

How long does this actually take?

Each tier has a stated turnaround starting from the day you pay. First Look is 3-4 days. Find Out Who is 48-72 hours. Identify the Person is 5-7 days. We'll always communicate if something is going to slip — that's rare but it happens.

Can I use this for tenant or employment screening?

No. Anything used for employment, tenant screening, credit, or insurance decisions is regulated by the Fair Credit Reporting Act and must come from a licensed Consumer Reporting Agency. Our reports are personal-use OSINT and explicitly are not consumer reports under the FCRA. If that's what you need, we'll point you toward a licensed CRA.

What methods do you use? Anything sketchy?

Only OSINT — open-source intelligence — and the evidence you provide. We don't pretext (impersonate someone to get information), social-engineer, hack, or access password-protected accounts. If a case can only be resolved by methods outside that line, we route it to Rexxfield, who operates with different tooling and standards.

What can't I include in the intake?

Don't share full Social Security numbers, banking account numbers, passwords, or anything you haven't already shared with the people involved in the case. We'll ask for whatever specific identifiers we need over a secure channel after we've confirmed scope.

Will my case appear in your blog or marketing?

No. We don't publish client cases, list client names, or discuss specific situations publicly. The only exception is a lawful subpoena, which we'd notify you of immediately if it ever happened.

Can I pay by something other than card?

The default payment link is a Stripe-hosted card payment. If you need an alternative (bank transfer, etc.) mention it in your intake and we'll work it out before sending the link.
